Looking up and as I stare, wondering just exactly how do I get there

Not somewhere, not a place, not a space

I do know that to get there takes time, yours and mine

There’s no straight away, no simple path

This journey challenges everything I have

It demonstrably affects those all around

Those who hear the voice of my sound

These so near for whom I strive the best

It is for them I endure the toughest test

Distance so far, is it beyond my reach?

Encourage me, I plead, and I beseech 

It’s not a case of dragging the heel

Sanity check, this journey is real

I want and need to lay all of myself aside

To get out of the way so that He may rise

There is only one Truth, I must say

To proclaim the Truth, and be like Christ, to everyone, every day
